Named Folder is an extension that calls up a dialog box allowing you to name the folder when it is created. This, instead of having to create a new folder and replace it's "untitled folder" name. Although this is an older extension it has been given good reviews under some of the newest OS's and Machines.

Natural Order will give you the results you might expect when items are numbered and sorted into a list view. Such as a natural counting order of 1-12 instead of 1, 10, 11, 12, 2 etc. which as the read me states: "looks stupid, and it's because the System is just sorting the names lexicographically."

Navi iRae by Jérome Foucher is yet another nice little Control Panel "that provides menus, when you command-click in a window's title region, that lets you navigate through the path of the file, just like in the Finder. "Navi iRae" just looks for an opened file with the same name as the window's one". It is compatible with Apple Menu Options, OtherMenu or BeHierarchic 4.0.

Neatnik by Iron Software "neatens up your Mac Finder desktop by setting the location, size and "View" characteristics of folder windows. These characteristics can all be set by hand, of course, but Neatnik allows you to batch-process the contents of a folder (including all levels of enclosed folders), or an entire disk."

NewFolderHere! by Adam Chipkin is an extension that will allow you to select where you wish a new folder to be placed when you create it instead of at the top level of the hierarchy and all the way at the bottom of the list.

9Tuner is an application that modifies certain resources in your System and Finder to change the appearances and functionalities of your Mac OS 9. Since all changes are modified directly in your system software, the changes do not require extra system memory to function. Mac OS 9 and a PowerPC are required to run 9Tuner. Mac OS 9 Compatible.

NoAliasBadge by Ouzak (Kazuo Saito) "If you installed MacOS 8.5 on your Macintosh, and If your Mac looks like the other window system, please try this." In other words it will remove the Alias "arrow" Apple introduced in Mac OS 8.5 and later from the icons.

NoFinderZoom 9.0 is a shared library that Zaps the zoom rectangles in MacOS 9.x. If you have older systems running then choose the alternate link from above. Specifically for systems 8.5-8.6 select this link.

This is the latest beta version we know of at ResExcellence. I have used it on Mac OS 8.5.1 without any problems- I have not tested it with 8.6 though. There is no Read-Me. Use carefully.

Okey Dokey Pro by Dan Walkowski will automatically hit the default buttons in dialog boxes after a period of time specified by the user. It is a control panel.

OpColourLight is a neat little program by Cybernet Plus+ that will allow you to remove the white box around the name of folders on the desktop. By playing with the two colors in CLUT 128. The first color is the text color, and the second is the icon label background. Hint: "If the user sets the icon label background to black, then no background will show up in the Finder, leaving just the icon name showing.

The Outlook Express Sound Set Creator by Omar Shahine was developed for use with the new Outlook Express 5.0 sound effects, such as mail notification etc. It should make the adding of sound files much easier.

OSA Menu by Lazerware is an extension that will place an icon into your menu bar that will give you quick access to your Apple Scripts. All you need to do is choose an item from the menu and the script will run. Some commands are always available, and some are only available within particular applications.

OtherMenu by Jim Walker will provide another menu similar to the Apple Menu. "OtherMenu creates a system-wide hierarchical menu somewhat like the Apple menu. Besides opening applications and documents, it runs 28 little utilities called externals. In a directory dialog (Open/Save dialog), you can use the menu to select a file or folder. Compatible with System 7 through 9.0. Some PowerPC code."
