Change the Terminal Log in Greeting. Andy Moraitis sends this little tip for MacOS X users who wish to spice up their terminal login message and change it from the default. Open a terminal session and su to root and type:
Edit the message to whatever you would like. Andy's says:
When done, press Control-X to quit, press "Y" to save the changes. Open a new session to see your new terminal greeting!
