Cody submitted a new toolbar for Hotline (see contributions below). If others want to try their hand at it, he also sent a tutorial for you to download.
Kevin Kelleher has devised an easy way to make the dock totally transparent - no lines or borders! Visit his site to download the Applescript and links to the needed systemOSAX scripting addition. Kevin is constantly tweaking the script, but the version I downloaded on July 5th worked perfectly.

While the Applescript does all the work, be sure to read the documentation to be certain you'll have no problems. It may seem a little odd at first to have a dock with no borders and icons hovering in space, but it's a slick trick and one I like. While hidden, the separator that divides the dock and brings up the preference contextual menu is still there. Just mouse over it until the cursor changes. Great job Kevin!

Polling Place. by Michael Coyle
Look at that! A corner of the internet not dominated by Microsoft. While their included browser garnered 27% of the vote, OmniWeb scored big with over 50% of MacOS X users showing a preference.
I wish OmniGroup all the luck in the world, but I gotta tell ya, they should give the browser away with no strings attached, using it to establish the company brand and drive MacOS X users to their other software offerings. But that's just me, what do you think? This week's Polling Place asks, "Would you pay for a web browser?"
