Modify GoMac to show all your Internet Applications

Using the settings from the Internet control panel, GoMac is able to display the correct icon next to type of internet application.

But what if you would rather see the aplications name?

This edit, submitted by Peter McHugh, shows you how to change the menu to do that!

Open a copy of the Action GoMac extension in ResEdit and locate the MENU resources.

Open them with a double-click and find ID -13147. Open it with a double-click.

In this resource, you will find the name of the application types.

Select each one and type in the name of your prefered program.

Remember, this is purely cosmetic, the applications that will launch when the menu item is selected is determined by the Internet control panel.

Save your copy of the GoMac extension and quit ResEdit.

Replace the original with the modified and restart your computer.

The menu will now display the correct names for your internet applications.
