Flower Power was great for the 60's, but the icons used in ICQ's floating palette are a little too groovey for me. Here's how to change them.
This is the default offline icon from ICQ. The online versions are green.
To change the icons, open a copy of ICQ in ResEdit.
Find the ics8 resources and open them with a double-click.
The floating palette icons are numbers 2014 and 2015. The different versions of these icons are made by the program with icon badges!
Open icons 2014 and 2015 and reedit them to suit your needs.
Don't forget to drag your new icon into the Mask position!
When you're finished, save your work and quit ResEdit.
The next time you launch ICQ, the floating palette will have your new icons.
