Unfortunately, Chris Brown noticed that the Open PPP Control Panel option is set for the older version and won't open the new Remote Access Control Panel. Using Resedit, this simple edit can fix that!
Open a copy of the Internet Menu control panel in ResEdit and find the 68k* resource.
Open it with a double-click.
There is only one ID number.
Open ID#0 with a double-click.
Type Command-G to bring up the ASCII Find window. Type rmot in the find field. (rmot is the creator code for the older version of the PPP control panel.)
Replace rmot with the creator code for the newer Remote Access control panel - rmcc.
In fact, if you use FreePPP, you can enter that program's creator code - FPPP.
That's it! Save your work and quit ResEdit. Replace the original extension with the revised one and restart your computer. Internet Menu will now open the remote Access Control Panel.
