| Change the Online URL's in Quicken.
Victor Blais wondered if the Online URL's in Quicken 98 (which all point to Quicken Web sites) could be changed to those of your own choosing. This edit will show you how.
 Open a copy of Quicken 98 in ResEdit and scroll down to the MENU resources.
Open them with a double-click.
 Find ID 48 and open it with a double-click.
 In Quicken 98, there are three menu items you can change to your own choices.
In my example, I'm keeping the first and changing the other two to point to my bank and yahoo's finance page.
If you have Quicken Deluxe, you will have more menu options and you can feel free to change as many as you want.
After you have changed the menus, close the resource.
 Scroll to the STR# resources and open them with a double-click.
 Find ID 438 and open it.
This is where you can paste the URL addresses for the menu choices you entered above. The first menu item (Quicken's site) starts at item 11.
For Quicken 98, you can change items 11, 12, 13. For Quicken Deluxe, there are more options.
 After you have changed all your menus and entered the new URL's, save your work and quit ResEdit. The new version is ready to use. |
