Give Apple's Calculator a new look. 
The copyright date says 1983 - and it looks it! With all the bells and whistles that have been added to the MacOS over the years, you would think that they would have updated the Calculator Desk Accessory.
This little edit will at least change the ancient black title bar.
 Open a copy of the Calculator in ResEdit and open the WIND resource.
 There is only one ID, number -16000.
Open it with a double-click.
From here, you can choose the style of the Calculator window border.
The original one is circled in red.
My choice would be to change the window style to the one that is second from the left.
You can experiment, but keep in mind that some options may put you into a position where you may have to force-quit the program!
 After you've made your choice, save your work and quit ResEdit.
The next time you need to add up your lottery winnings, the calculator will be sporting a new look!
