Stuffit Expander 5.0 And The Nag Screen

This edit will show you how to replace the annoying little nag screen with the graphic of your choice, but be careful, if you don't follow the instructions, the nag screen will disappear forever!

Open a copy of the Stuffit Expander 5.0 application.

Find the PICT resources and open them with a double click.

Find ID #4010 and open it with a double-click.

In this example, I pasted in from the clipboard the ResExcellence logo.

After the new PICT is in, close the window.

Find the DITL resources and open them with a double-click.

Be careful not to delete ID#4010 or the new picture you just pasted in above will never be shown.

In fact, if you accidentally delete this resource ID, even the original picture will never be seen.

So be careful!

That's it! When you're done modifying the free Stuffit Expander, save your work and quit ResEdit.
