High Tech Your Netscape With New Colors And Icons
by Michael Coyle, June 24th, 1998 It's obvious from the download statistics at the Kaleidoscope Scheme Archive that the dark high-tech look is a favorite. The problem is most application windows steadfastly cling to the Platinum Appearance.
Open a copy of Netscape in ResEdit and scroll to the ppat resources.
ID# 10000 is the background color for the toolbars.
Select a darker color, and using the paint bucket, fill in the entire pattern.
In the Netscape Folder is a folder called Netscape Essentials. Inside there is a file called Netscape Resources. Open it in ResEdit and find the icl8 resources.
All the icons that Netscape uses in the toolbars are located here.
