Jerome Foucher has updated two of his excellent programs and released a new one. His newest shareware is called A-Dock. It's the Application Switcher on steroids. It behaves like a drawer, supports drag&drop, lets you quit or hide applications via contextual menus, has skin support, and gives access to application's windows if Wapp pro is installed (but ADock works great without Wapp pro). If the readers like this and want it added to the Archive let me know.

Jerome's updated programs include: Wapp pro v2.7 which now takes advantage of the new program A-Dock and DeskTray v2.0. Desktray received the most updates and feature additions:

No more limit of 5 alternate folders, multi-screen support, it's now possible to change the active list during drag&drop, the list only rebuilds if necessary (folder modified), Improved speed on slow systems, added a zone that shows information about selected items, added some animation's when using disclosure triangles, added an option to display each volume's root folder instead of each volume's desktop folder and sub-menus that shows folders content now work on volumes and on folders from the right list. Fixed the double-click bug and the tray no longer appears during the log-in screen among several others.

Please note: Because of a problem with his FTP, Jerome had trouble getting this new version of Desktray uploaded yesterday despite the announcement it was up. Make sure you have the final version 2.0 and not version 2.0 beta 1.

NewFolderHere!, the final word from the author:

Thanks for your interest in NewFolderHere. Unfortunately, I've stopped supporting/developing this extension due to time constraints, so I will not be releasing an OS 9 version.

MacFixIt reported the other day a conflict with Magnet Menu.

From Gadget Software as posted on the MacFixIt page: "There was a serious bug in Magnet Menu v2.2: we tried to put an auto-detector to detect AutoMenus Pro, but apparently it isn't working. We removed this feature and the bug is now fixed." Thanks to MacFixIt for the heads up on this!

I also received a couple of emails concerning the conflict listed above. Gadget Software now lists the program back at version 2.1 on their homepage so I have also dropped it back on the Archive page.

Themes.org has posted it's newest themes and screenshots, so top over to check them out.

Themes and Schemes news:

Kaleidoscope Scheme Archive has posted 16 new and 20 updated schemes on it's page. Grafito i, IrieMac, The Deep and Palladium are the ones that look coolest to me!

Peter Harte has updated his Aqua I and II schemes to fix a returning bug from back in version 1.6: If you drag an object into a finder drawer tab and happen to touch the bottom line on the screen, the drawer is popping in and out and in and out... This has been Fixed and Updated (again).
