Software News: by Cletus I am cute and cheap!!!! UPDATED 13:18 hrs. EST.
Since I am apparently for sale and may not post again Monday I thought I better add this today! Wapp Pro has been updated to version 2.6.
I tried to save everyone a step, but I mistakenly linked to the wrong page for the Geometry PR3. Please get it by going through this link. If you downloaded off the link below then you received the same theme you already had or the older one. Remember there is not a number version change. OOPS! Sorry!
I answered this question in the forum tonight and have actually handled several emails concerning this so... If you are interested in running iTools on a pre-Mac OS 9 system check this patcher out. iTools will be somewhat limited in running under this patch, however you can do it!
Mafoo, aka Mathew (note the one "t") White notified me of a "silent" update to Geometry PR3 at power/MAC. There will not be a new version number assigned to it, but it has been updated. Mafoo also guarantees the download link is working.
Hidetoshi Ozawa was kind enough to interpret the former OpColourLight page
for me and give me the low down. It isn't good. Apparently word was given on the page by Mr.Oura (webmaster) that it would end by the end of March, which it has. The new page does not list or mention OpColour. It is possible it has been discontinued. Mr. Ozawa will try to keep me up to date on this matter. For the time being it will remain in our archive and on our server. ResExcellence and the readers thank you Mr. Ozawa! On an aside, what the heck is on the icon?
Platinum Tech 2000 has been updated at InterfaceLift. This is a really cool Kaleidoscope scheme that is still in the process of being beta tested. Give it a try.
Jerome Foucher has released version 1.4 of his shareware DeskTray. So what is new in this version you ask?!: Due to problems with the system for choosing the alternate folder, I had to completely change the way of handling it. Now DeskTray can list up to 5 of your favorite folders. Added an options to not display aliases in italic and to remove the vertical space between 2 different volumes in the list. there have been several cosmetic and bug fixes as well. It even comes with a manual now.
Last time I mentioned Finder Fixer for adjusting the finder memory. Lon Hutchison sent in another suggestion called The Reaper which Jermey had covered in his Freeware Gems article. I had forgot about this. Thanks Lon.
