I have added a new piece of software called Divider Lines to the Archive. The Rev. Glenn A. Lucas suggested this older extension that will make any "$" at the end of a line of text for a folder or document into a gray line in the Apple Menu. This can then be used as a divider line! He states he has used it without conflict in System's 7 - 8.6 and so can not vouch for compatibility in Mac OS 9. Keep me posted.

Maury McCown dropped me a line about his "brand new" Design website, RAILhead Design. He has also updated several pieces of software including PreviewMaker which is in our Archive and will easily test and sample all aspects of your Kaleidoscope Schemes or Appearance Themes, as well as create previews to show off your creations. Be sure to check out his other fine software: MileageSaver 1.1, QuickSwitch 2.1 and ASCIIseek 1.2 while you are there.

DragonOne has updated 8Tuner to version 3.5.2. This update provides better display of folder icons under 8.0 and 8.1. You do need to download new custom icons in order to get the benefits though.

While 8Tuner is not compatible with Mac OS 9, the newly released 9Tuner by DragonOne is. Providing the same functions as 8Tuner has for previous version the Mac OS, 9Tuner is fully compatible with Mac OS 9. The required folders for 9Tuner can be downloaded from here.

Gadget Software has released a new product called Faster! which they claim will "accelerate every single tidbit of your Macintosh, to speed up your computer — up to 3x's" A non-crippled demo is available and will auto detect any other Gadget software and accelerate it also. I definitely want reports of this!

Aqua II++ is another Kaleidoscope scheme available from the Ressentiment web site. The site requires Java script be enabled in the browser, so.....
